Accept life as it comes. It seems like a very simple statement that isn’t simple at all. We come across different situations. We don’t understand why things have to happen the way they do. There is trauma, there is hurt, there is suffering. How can everything that happens be for the greater good? It’s not an easy question to answer, especially because we can’t always see the bigger picture. There is always more occurring behind the scenes than we realize. Maybe you were running late for work one morning, feeling frustrated and overwhelmed because you wouldn’t get there in time. But maybe it happened because it kept you from being in an accident. Something that seems unfortunate that knocks us back one day, may lead to something amazing down the road, but too often we are busy looking at what went wrong to realize what goes right. We don’t understand the bigger picture all the time. We feel hurt, unheard, and confused. We feel undeserving, not accepted, and broken. When we focus on these emotions instead of trying to see what could be trying to work out, we end up not just with emotional upset, but physical ailments as well. Take the chance on stepping outside of yourself and see each situation as a stepping stone to something greater. It won’t always be in your timing, but it’s working in your favor. Give it time to play out the way it’s supposed to.
