Asparagine

Asparagine is an amino acid important for brain development. It is created from another amino acid, aspartic acid. Asparagine keeps balance in the central nervous system. This important amino acid produces proteins, breaks down toxic ammonia within cells, and helps to create a molecule responsible for transmitting signals to the brain. A deficiency of asparagine may cause exaggerated reflexes and weak muscle tone.
