Calendula is a plant belonging to the daisy family. It is able to thrive in most soil.

Medicinal properties of the plant include anti-fungal, antibacterial, and an anti-inflammatory. It may be used as a tincture, ointment, or wash. Calendula may be consumed as tea. It helps to heal burns, bruises, and cuts as well as help with minor infections. The oil from calendula may help with eczema and diaper rash.

Phytoconstituents are naturally occurring chemical compounds found in plants. They provide various medicinal properties and therapeutic effects. The phytoconstituents in calendula need to be further researched, but studies suggest they may also provide anti-tumor, antimutagenic, and antioxidant properties.
