Life is full of obstacles. It is full of hurt and uncertainty. It comes with struggles and trauma. It comes with a darkness that threatens to close in on us if we close our eyes for too long. But life is also beautiful. It comes with color. It comes with sunshine strong enough to brighten even the darkest places. It comes with knowledge and it comes with a strength you don’t know you have until you’re truly tested. For every down in life, there’s an up around the corner. Unfortunately, too many times we get ourselves too focused on the bad and fail to see the good that is right in front of us. During my hardest trials in life, I choose to believe in a higher power. A being that knows my path even when I don’t. A being that doesn’t leave me, even when I feel like everyone else has or should leave me. It is during these times I talk to God. I put my faith in Him. I fully believe He will get me through and to where I am meant to be. His love never ends. His love is unconditional, even when I feel like I’m not worth loving. He shows me I am worth loving and brings me back. He keeps reminding me what I am fighting for and that I will overcome anything put into my path. Today, and every day, I am thankful for God’s unconditional love.
