Grounding for Health

Grounding is a technique used to align energy by connecting to the earth. We can use grounding for health. Grounding has been shown to help reduce inflammation in the body. It may also reduce stress and pain, improving sleep quality. Our root chakra is most often used for grounding purposes. We are capable of grounding ourselves at any time. It will help us to feel safe, secure, and balanced.

There are numerous techniques for grounding. The one above is one I use to help me. I find it to be helpful to feel the earth’s energy coming up through the bottom of my feet as roots, and they grow up through me, making a solid tree. When we take a few minutes to practice grounding, it can help combat feelings of anxiety, depression, and fatigue. The best form of grounding is to get outside in bare feet and absorb nature’s energy. Some people have a hard time doing this, but it beneficial when you are able to. When this isn’t something that can be done, we can use visualization to help the process. I also enjoy using calming music or meditation music to help keep my mind in the moment. It makes the grounding experience stronger for me. As you learn techniques, you’ll find the ones that work best for you. Don’t be afraid to try a variety and see what helps you to feel the most grounded.
