Holistic health has many benefits. When we take the time to nurture ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually, we prevent ourselves from illness. We need to see ourselves as a whole being with many parts. If we have a headache, more often than not, we take some form of pain reliever to get rid of it. It helps the symptom, but doesn’t tell us why the headache occurred. Pain tends to be our body’s way of telling us something isn’t in balance. If we take the steps to figure it out, we do more than just put a bandaid over the symptom, we heal ourselves. If our minds are struggling, we may have physical symptoms. If we don’t feel connected, our minds may struggle. Taking the time to uncover what is truly going on gives us the best chance of overall health.
