There are different ways to practice meditation. When we practice meditation it allows us to be centered and focused in the moment. Breathing deeply is a practice that tends to be easy for beginners. We just focus on the breath. We may engage in prayer or repeat a mantra. This allows our minds to be in the now. Reading and then reflecting on what we’ve read is a way to practice meditation. Scanning your body lets you be in tune with what is going on in it. You may even find you like to deep breathe as you scan your body. Walking and meditating or doing yoga are examples of keeping the body busy while the mind is focused. Meditation is a good practice to help relieve stress and balance ourselves daily.
