When hit with hard times, asking yourself questions like “why do things like this always happen to me” or “when will it ever get better” is setting yourself up with a negative mind space. Instead, try asking yourself “what can I learn from this happening” or “what could I do differently the next time” to keep a positive mind frame. Understanding circumstances are temporary is important as well. A struggle today may not even cross your mind in a week so don’t let it hold space in your thoughts. The more you are able to stay optimistic, the more you will see a positive effect in your wellbeing.
