Reiki Benefits

Reiki benefits our health. Reiki is a way to heal with love so it helps to heal wounds surrounding love. It helps to ease grief and self-hatred. It’s important for a reiki practitioner to do self-care because there is more energy flow in love than in self-hatred. Reiki brings energy into the body, increasing circulation and oxygenation. The flow of energy increasing both promotes restoration to tissue in the body.

Reiki also helps to release stuck and stagnant emotions. Often times we struggle to express our feelings. We hold in crying, we stuff down emotions, and store it all. With reiki, it gently provides a release for these emotions. It removes the hold of unresolved trauma held in cells, tissue, muscle, and organs. We sometimes hold on to these trapped emotions for so long we start to feel the physical pain of them being stuck. Muscles and tissues weaken and we have aches and pains in different parts of our body. With reiki, we will not only release the emotions, but the physical ailments that have come from them being trapped.

Reiki is a well-known method of relaxation. As the energy begins to flow freely through a recipient, their body relaxes. It is becoming common for reiki to be used in hospital settings from pre and post surgery patients, hospice patients, cancer patients, and with children. Relaxation releases stress from the body. It is another aspect that reiki practitioners would benefit from performing reiki on one’s self.

Reiki has numerous benefits. It is also safe and noninvasive. It’s an alternative therapy that may be added to traditional medicine or other alternative medicines such as aromatherapy.
