Reminder: Breathe

Breathwork has numerous benefits. When we take the time to practice breathwork, we may lower our blood pressure, heart rate, and anxiety. Breathing techniques may also benefit our sleep, allowing us to be more relaxed and fall into a deeper sleep. Some techniques involve scanning your body while you are breathing. This makes you more aware of what is going on in the inside and anything that might need your focus.

When we slow our breathing, we can relax our bodies. If we want to increase the energy within us, we can take shorter, faster breaths. This takes practice as it an cause dizziness to begin with. It’s always important to be in a comfortable sitting position when starting to learn breathwork. Listen to your body and feel what works best for you.
