When the root chakra is open and functioning well, we will feel grounded, secure, safe, and courageous. This chakra is often blocked by fear. We can take steps to help open up the chakra. These steps include taking care of ourselves. We can do this by eating right, exercising, and getting plenty of rest. We can also work at removing clutter from our environment. When we manage the day-to-day tasks in our lives it also helps this chakra to be open.
