The mind is a powerful tool that is still be learned about. Our thoughts have the power to create the type of day we want. What we think, we bring to us and achieve. Our mind influences our physical well-being and our emotional state. The mind and body aren’t separate of each other. The mind and body both effect each other. The more we work with both, the stronger both become. We can strength both through breathing exercises, meditation, and progressive muscle relaxation.
The basic functions of the human mind are thinking, feeling, and wanting. When we think, we figure things out. It makes sense of life. Our feelings are created by thinking and determine what is positive or negative. What we want is our desires. Our energy is spent on either working towards what we want or letting go of things we don’t want. Our thinking controls us and our emotions and the decisions we make.
With this knowledge, it is important to realize just how much our minds play a role in our day to day living. We can either choose to walk up each morning with a positive mind frame, and find a silver lining in difficult situations, or we can choose to feel each day is unbearable. What we think determines our life courses. If we feel we can achieve our dreams, we are more likely to do exactly that. If we feel that our lives are meant to have one obstacle after another, we tend to bring even more obstacles into our lives. Today, I challenge you to make a conscious choice to see the good in life, believe in yourself, and achieve the dreams you create for yourself.
