Essential Oils for Lowering Blood Pressure

Did you know there are essential oils for lowering blood pressure? Essential oils have been used for a long time as form of aromatherapy. The compounds in the oils helps to reduce the stress hormone, cortisol. When we reduce the stress hormone, we promote a release of anxiety. Breathing in certain aromas help to do that. Lowering amounts of stress and anxiety help to bring down blood pressure numbers.

Common essential oils used to help with anxiety and stress include bergamot, clary Sagan, frankincense, jasmine, helichrysum, lavender, lemon balm, valerian, yarrow, and ylang ylang. These essential oils should be diluted in a carrier oil, such as coconut oil. Breathing them in daily is helpful. They may be mixed with lotions or put into bath water.
